The Pavilion: Pacific Lakes’ Exclusive Amenity
We are thrilled to share the latest developments at Pacific Lakes Village, nestled in the beautiful coastal stretch between Mount Maunganui and Pāpāmoa.
As our forward-thinking lifestyle village continues to grow, we are excited to announce that construction of The Pavilion, our central community hub, is well underway and set to open in spring next year.
Designed by the talented teams at Peddlethorp and Space Studio, The Pavilion will be a 2500m² facility that perfectly balances classic elegance with modern sophistication. The building will feature natural materials such as timber and stone, alongside parquet flooring and skylights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Pavilion’s structural frame, made of LVL timber rather than steel, aligns with our commitment to sustainability.
This stunning facility will offer a variety of communal spaces, including a stylish eatery, lounge bar, library, art studio, billiards room, beauty salon, and a wellness suite for visiting practitioners. The Pavilion will also boast a spacious multi-purpose recreation area designed for flexibility, making it ideal for both intimate gatherings and large events.
In line with our garden-to-table ethos, The Pavilion will feature a chef’s garden with raised beds and a glasshouse, allowing us to source fresh, local ingredients for our dining experiences. Positioned on the lake’s edge, The Pavilion will complement our existing Lake House, which offers a serene setting with sweeping decks, a barbecue area, and our Little Green café.
As part of our continued development, we have recently introduced pickleball courts, which are a first for a New Zealand retirement village. These courts have quickly become a favourite among our residents, with regular sessions and competitions.
Sustainability remains at the forefront of our village’s design and operation. From solar energy at the Lake House to LED lighting and EV charging stations, every aspect of Pacific Lakes Village has been thoughtfully planned to reduce our environmental impact. We are proud to be part of the Tauranga Council Resource Wise Business Programme, with over 98% of our operational waste being diverted from landfills.
With 190 residences currently housing just under 300 people, and plans to expand to 250 homes, Pacific Lakes Village is growing rapidly. Villas and terrace houses are selling now, and with the addition of The Pavilion, the village’s desirability is set to soar even higher.
